Francis Ebejer Boeken en Informatie Schrijver uit Malta. De schrijver Francis Ebejer was één van de belangrijkste Maltese schrijvers uit de vorige eeuw. 
Hij publiceerde een aantal romans en verhalenbundels die zelfs buiten Malta aandacht kregen. Daarnaast was hij een belangrijke schrijver van hoorspelen en toneelwerk. Met uitzondering van één boek schreef Francis Ebejer in het Engels wat zijn boeken toegankelijk maakt voor een groter publiek. Een van zijn verhalenbundels in zelfs vertaald in het Nederlands. Tot nu toe het enige boek van een Maltese auteur dat in het Nederlands is vertaald.

It was the last novel written by Francis Ebejer in the early nineties just before his death. The novel strikes tragic depth as it becomes concerned with the failures of love and the difficulties of human relationships. The novel’s documentary style is balanced by the first person narrative that makes reporting sensitive to human individuality. Structurally the novel fluctuates from one period to another. It leaves a sense of emptiness and its thematic relevance lies in adding another detail to the chapter about the problems of the 20th century that very often had denatured human love because of its wars.
